Montreal's Stray Cat Struggle

At Kitty Yoga Montreal, we're passionate about supporting our city's stray cat population. That's why 5$ per ticket purchase goes towards aiding various organizations and initiatives dedicated to helping cats in need across the province of Quebec.

From supporting local animal shelters and rescue groups to funding veterinary care for strays, we're committed to making a positive impact on the lives of these vulnerable animals. By attending our classes, not only do you get to enjoy a relaxing yoga session with adorable kittens, but you also contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve the welfare of stray cats in our community. Join us in our mission to make a difference, one paw at a time.

  • Proanima

Our non-profit organization applies preventive animal management for its partner cities and their citizens, providing them with advice, assistance and resources to limit animal abandonment. In this sense, Proanima offers prevention, awareness, education, identification, sterilization and supervision services for dangerous dogs. We welcome, care for and temporarily house stray or abandoned pets and then find them a new home.

  • Les Aristopattes

Les Aristopattes is a non-profit organization that takes care of abandoned or stray animals who are sick. We collaborate with several other shelters to try to save these animals who require urgent and often costly healthcare. We are the only organization in Quebec with this specialty. We take on cases that other organizations or shelters cannot handle due to lack of funds. All types of donations help us continue our mission, whether they are monetary or material.

  • La Cabane à Chat

Our mission is to help as many cats as possible find a forever home. Every time Cabane à Chat takes a cat into our care, we ensure that it doesn't have a home. All the cats we welcome receive necessary medical care, are sterilized, and are socialized. We strive to avoid euthanizing these cats as much as possible.

  • SPCA Roussillon

Through the Capture-Sterilization-Return-Maintain (CSRM) program, volunteer citizens are identified by the SPCA Roussillon as colony guardians or caregivers. These citizens collaborate with the SPCA Roussillon to sterilize cats in their colony, then become responsible for their well-being by providing them with food and shelter.

In the end, these community cats are healthy, occupy a defined geographical space, are less aggressive and help maintain the balance on the territory.

  • Un Chat à la Fois

Our charity receives no grants and we rely 100% on your donations to save lives. Our mission is to save kittens in need, educate and raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering so that together we can work on improving the life of animals in Quebec. We rescue orphaned or very sick kittens at risk of euthanasia. We educate the population on the kitten's development and the neonatal period. We sensitize people on the importance of spay and neuter.
